Hello and Welcome!

 

Since 2011, I have been creating, sewing, and selling handbags and other items from my studio in Rock Hill, SC. I am a 3rd generation seamstress, and while the females in my family before me found their happiness in making clothes, I found my niche in making bags and purses with style and a touch of quirkiness.

 

 The name SobeSata (so-bee-sah-tah) is a mash-up of my nieces' and nephew's names - SOphie, BEnnett, SAdie, TAran - and they are a main source of inspiration and support for me.

 

Everything you see from SobeSata Co - the design and creation of items, photography, stories and posts - is solely done by me.  

I take great pride in my work, and my passion drives me to provide the best quality items and service to everyone, everywhere.

             

Each of my products reflect a little of my personality as an artist. I draw my inspiration from books, art, movies, travel, fashion, nature, fabrics… the list is never-ending. I gravitate toward eye-catching, quirky patterns and functional, vintage styles. 

 

All of my products are made from durable, high-quality fabrics and are designed to last through everyday use. Handmade, unique, and user-friendly - that's what SobeSata Co is all about!

 

Behind each of my products is an underlying story or inspiration that is different with each handbag. It is for this reason that my purses are named, and why you will never find any two bags alike in my shop. The names are also embroidered in a secret area of each purse! Another detail that ensures every handbag from SobeSata Co is truly one-of-a-kind. 

 

I take great joy in being able to spend my days in the studio creating new designs, reconstructing old ideas, or incorporating new art forms in my work. Being creative keeps me sane, and when you buy a product from SobeSata Co you are helping to keep my sanity and happiness in check for a while longer.
